It’s that time of year again! If your significant other has a fuller bust but you’ve got no idea how to go about buying lingerie for them, here’s a few pointers to help you through.
If you know their size – you’re one step ahead of the rest. If you can search their lingerie drawer for bra sizes, make sure you look at a few different bras that they usually wear. If you have a fuller bust, you’re more likely to have purchased a number of different sizes in different brands and in different shapes and styles of bras. Take note of the most found brand in her drawer and stick with that for a size, you may even want to stay with that brand for your purchase as then you will know it will definitely fit.

What if you don’t want to get them a bra but still want it to be lingerie? There are lots of other items that are suited for the fuller bust such as playsuits, rompers, babydolls, and teddies. Never buy something that is sized S, M, L, XL, as these will rarely fit larger breasts. Look for a brand specifically designed for the fuller bust as these will more than likely be better suited for your valentine.
Avoid anything that doesn’t have support in the bust. I know the cami sets and cute chemises can look a treat, but these are usually only for the smaller bust and those that don’t need support. Look for these styles that have a seam under the bust and will more likely offer support for your partner’s chest.
Fuller busts are usually quite specific about their taste, comfort, brands, and colours they wear. So if in doubt, remember to ask them or suss it out beforehand.
You can always keep the receipt and make sure they know it’s able to be returned or exchanged if it doesn’t fit or isn’t to their taste. Most briefs are not returnable so keep this in mind too.
If you’re too overwhelmed by the prospect of buying lingerie, there are lots of other options for the busty person in your life.
Never buy anything to do with chores, even though they may say they’d love the latest Dyson vac, it’s not what they want for Valentine’s Day. If you really want to buy them a Dyson, opt for the Airwrap. Also, no washing machines, blenders, mops, dust busters or anything that has recently broken or needs replacing.
I’m sure whatever you decide to do on the most romantic day of the year will be perfect. Whether this be lingerie, a cruise, or just hanging out under the stars. There’s no specific ‘one present’ that works for everyone. You know your partner the best!
